Who we are
Dear friends, dear guests!
Ten years ago, my wife Milena and I inherited the homes of our maternal grandparents in which people and animals lived together almost a hundred years ago. In the apartments, in fact, the iron rings to which the horses were tied back in the evening from the fields are clearly visible.
Today, after a careful renovation, they have been transformed into four comfortable apartments, ready to accommodate visitors who choose to spend a few relaxing days in Polignano a mare.
The house of Milena’s maternal grandparents, located in Via Aia 11 near the train station and the historic center, has been divided into three apartments, two of which overlook a private garden where there are fruit trees, especially medlar trees that they then gave the name to our structure.
The apartment of my maternal grandparents is located in Via Matteotti 135 and is within walking distance of the historic center and the famous Grotta Palazzese. In our southern villages, families were recognized by a nickname that the locals gave them rather than by name and surname, and the name we gave to the apartment, Nivis Avis, is the Latinized nickname of my family.
I have decided to leave my previous profession of consulting to companies and to devote my time exclusively to making the stay of those who choose our structure as pleasant as possible.
